Clutter Cover hides stacked messes, beats actually useful organization any day

Here’s a winning idea: something that hides home clutter and diminishes the need for dusting. Clutter Cover is the perfect item for packrat types who  find that the item that they just threw out a couple days ago, but had kept for years prior, should have been saved after all. The silver cover fits over free-standing shelves and is made-to-order, with a limit of 72” for height, depth and width. The clutter-hiding, dust-diminishing system comes with two heavy duty front zippers for easy access with Velcro flap holders. Clutter Cover can be used either inside or outside and is completely machine washable.

Presently, this product comes only in sliver, but other colors along with the option to add a special logo are available for an extra donation. While this is a great product for the pack rat in everyone, it’s a bit lacking in appearance. If clutter is going to be covered up, why not do it in style? This campaign has a goal of $1,974. For $55, backers get one product with an expected delivery of February 2015.

360 Shelf brings a new twist to holding small items on a wall

Shelf space is key when it comes to trying to organize one’s living space, second only to a good floor plan. The 360 Shelf attempts to offer shelf space for the little things that clutter up life, but it appears that several of them would be needed to really be very useful. Users can choose from multiple angles for the shelf, or affix it so that it is level. The Beachwood shelf units come in four different finishes. Some instillation is required using a single screw for mounting.

It’s not clear what the measurements of the shelf actually are, but it appears to be fairly small, only holding 1-3 small, book-sized or tablet-sized items, depending on the items. Other interesting products designed to help with organizing the home that backers might like to check out include the Shelfie, Bench, and StaX to name a few where getting organized is concerned. This campaign seeks to raise $15,000 by December 23, 2014. Early bird backers get one shelf for $40 with an expected delivery of February 2015.

Small kitchens can mean a limited mess to clean up, but they can also mean the frustration of limited counter tops for storage and cooking preparation. Elevation Rack is a modular storage unit for kitchens that can be used in a number of ways to free up precious counter space. This particular rack was designed in such a way that it can be customized to fit in nearly any kitchen, and it doesn’t need any tools for assembly–it just gets configured to fit in front of one’s existing kitchen facing. Early bird backers get one stemware rack for $29. Larger contributions can get more rack options. Expected delivery is August 2015.

The Bag Rack provides hooks for bags in your trunk, lets you hang ’em high

It seems that the car trunk is one in which disorganization tends to rule for most people. This can make grocery shopping for a family rather complicated. That’s why The Bag Rack was invented. The product is very easy to install and requires no tools. While this seems like an interesting idea that could bring much needed convenience on grocery day, it’s not clear what the width of the product is, or with which car trunks it would be most compatible.

For those who travel to the store a lot in their cars, especially those with a hatchback, know that groceries tend to slide around in the back willy nilly. So, having a holder that takes up no cargo room, but keeps things in place would be a welcome addition to any frequent grocery goer. Other grocery helps in which backers might be interested include the Super Bag Holder, and Grocery Pal campaigns. This campaign seeks to raise $25,000 by December 24, 2014. Early bird backers can get one product for $15 with an expected delivery of December 2014.

Flat-pack shelving structure organizes in a giant hexagon

Shelving units pretty much come in one shape consisting of horizontal parallel shelves that hold your stuff in a straight line. Ruche offers a different look. Shaped like a hexagon, this shelving unit has seven slots able to fit anything from shoes to pots and pans in the kitchen. According to the campaign, these shelves only take seven minutes to assemble. For moving or reorganizing, the shelves fold completely flat for ease of transport.

This Israeli product is not only practical, but also features a hidden Star of David in its center for more spiritual backers. Ruche comes in either cardboard or aluminum and each material boasts three different sizes: small, medium and large. The campaign does a great job of displaying all the different ways Ruche can be used and is convincing in showcasing the product’s usefulness and versatility. You’ll also get your choice of color with a $65 donation for a small aluminum Ruche with an estimated delivery date of February 2015. This product is looking to raise $15,000 on Kickstarter.

TekTuk keeps mobiles safe from sleepy feet

Finding a convenient place to charge mobile devices that keeps them off the floor and free from the risk of getting stepped on can be a challenge, especially when traveling. TekTuk offers a way to keep mobiles bedside while still getting charged and in a safe place. The top portion of the leather carrying case fits between the mattress and box spring to keep mobile devices off of the floor. It will hold most tablets (up to 11” wide and 1” thick) and mobile phones (up to 3 ¼” wide, 1” thick) in their cases.

If backers can avoid knocking into the TekTuk during the night, this may be a good solution for mobile protection. The elastic cord management loops seem like a nice touch for keeping wires tangle-free and easily accessible as well. Backers might also want to check out the Z-charge, and ReelJuice  campaigns. This campaign seeks to raise $3,000 by December 8, 2014. Early bird backers get one product for $35, with an expected delivery of December 2014.

Ready for winter? The New Hang Out extends for more coats

When living in a small space such as an apartment or dorm or traveling in an RV, where to hang clothes can be quite the conundrum. The New Hang Out offers a place to hang clothes when those dinky closets just aren’t big enough. This product can also fold up, so it’s rather versatile in that it can also be used as a coat hook in the winter, a summer solution for wet towels and swimwear, or in the laundry room as a temporary place to hang clothes that need to be line dried rather than put in the dryer.

One drawback of the Hang Out is that it only holds about 10 pounds using a command strip unless it is secured into a stud or wall anchor, though it isn’t noted how much extra the product can hold in that instance. This campaign seeks to raise $25,000 by December 14, 2014. For $39, backers get one product with an expected deliver of May 2015.

SnapRak straightens out teens’ lockers, can’t help hormonal angst

One of the scarier things in life might be a teenager’s locker – second only to their bedroom. In an effort to help them organize and actually make it to their classes on time, SnapRak was invented. The plastic shelving unit can be snapped together outside of the locker without any tools then easily slides in for a perfect fit. Kids can have as many as 10 shelves and organize them in a way that works best for them. Might be a great idea if kids don’t have to share a locker.

Many schools are overcrowded and kids share lockers with as many as three other students. Now what to do about the odor in the locker that wafts out into the hall on the days that they have gym is another matter for consideration. In the meantime, this campaign seeks to raise $100 by December 4, 2014. For $30, backers get their pick of one hot pink or royal blue SnapRak with an expected delivery of December 2014. On mornings like that, the more convenient it is to get at, the better. That’s why there’s Capsule Slide. This idea gives a whole new twist to the functionality of a magnet. Why? Allin combo poker chip and drink holder helps keep you high and dry

Poker is one of those games that resonates with those who are competitive, good at reading people, and enjoy the excitement of risk and thrill of victory. But nothing can make a game go bad faster than when someone spills their beer all over the poker table. That’s why Allin was invented. The combo poker chip beverage holder allows players to not only keep their chips organized, but also keeps beer from flying across the table. The product holds up to 100 chips and can hold a standard, individual sized can or bottle of one’s beverage of choice. Consolidated table space means more room for munchies, and more importantly, keeping score – although with all those organized chips, everyone will probably pretty much know who is winning whether the scorekeeper is accurate or not. And when the night is over, or has turned to morning, holders can be stacked up and stored until everyone who lost has gained enough money to gather again later. This campaign seeks to raise $8,500 by December 1, 2014. Backers get one product for $12, with an expected delivery of December 2014.
