The device learns how users prefer their coffee based on feedback from the accompanying Android and iOS app for mobile devices. K-Easy prevents sinking feeling by continuously replenishing coffee makers

Coffee is the fuel for many important corporations around the world: if workers don’t get their coffee break, something within them dies. For many people, this is especially true in the morning.

K-Easy is a water sensory device that automatically adds water to a coffee machine whenever it runs low. The product works with any coffee machine that has its own water tank. There is a fail safe control board that has a timer for automatically shutting down the device in the event that the sensor fails and water flows for more than 15 seconds. Installation is easy for most home or office environments, and there are only two fittings that need to be tightened with a wrench. All other adjustments can be done by hand. The campaign claims that the installation can be completed by non-plumbers.

This product’s aimed at busy professionals who can justify doing a little upfront work to avoid those laborious trips to the fountain acrsos the kitchen. Coffee-loving backers may also want to check out the Arist,  Bruvelo and for those who like to entertain and aren’t in a hurry for their coffee, Brewover. This campaign seeks to raise $10,000. Backers get one product for $50, with an expected delivery of January 2015.

Degono tea and coffee press promises to retain true grit

There’s something about the smell and taste of freshly brewed coffee or tea that just makes the morning (or evening wind-down) more pleasant. Degono offers a product that not only brews the best morning beverages, resembling a French press, but also simplifies clean-up with its “grounds away cleaning system,” setting it apart from other coffee and tea makers. The grounds are trapped between two filters, one at the bottom and the other on the top. This coffee press also works well with loose tea, allowing the user control of how strong their tea will be through the use of the unique filtration system. In addition, Degono is dishwasher safe.

It’s not clear if brands other than Degono brand coffee or tea can be used in the product or not. Coffee loving backers may also want to check out the Artist, Bruvelo, and Brewover campaigns. This campaign seeks to raise £27,980 (~$44,000). Early bird backers get one product for £20 (~$31), with an expected delivery date of May 2015.

Oxx Coffeeboxx takes on tough conditions to make smooth blends

Coffee. It is the black gold of the working world. It keeps professionals awake at their board meetings and computers, and helps blue collar workers overcome Monday morning headaches and winter weather storm warnings. Oxx Coffeeboxx was built for rugged environments where an extra lift may be needed when the tire jack just doesn’t get it; large, heavy metal objects have been known to plunge to the ground, and basically, a good coffee maker can take some abuse and still brew a decent cup of java. This product is able to keep any blue collar crew happily quaffing their coffee, even if, as the video suggests, Oxx ends up on the wrong end of a demolition team.

For those occasions when the environment is less extreme and a more delicate cup of coffee is preferred, backers might want to check out the Bruvelo and BrewOver campaigns. This campaign seeks to raise $50,000 by December 29, 2014. Early bird backers get one product for $225, with an expected delivery of March 2015.

Brewover needs no do-over to create cold-brewed coffee

Coffee enthusiasts know the best ways to make their favorite morning drink, but usually need different products to master each method. Brewover is a three-in-one, multifunctional brewing device that allows the user to choose between the slow brew drip, immersion, or pour over techniques for making specialty coffees. It has a very easy to use filter system, as well as a shut-off valve that allows a great deal of control as to how fast the water flows into the filter. Brewover can even function as a potential icebreaker when meeting up with new friends because the clear material allows people to actually watch the process take place. Coffee lovers who want to be able to enjoy their beverage on-the-go might want to check out the KoffeePress campaign. This campaign seeks to raise $65,000 AUD (~$56,000 USD) by December 2, 2014. For $65 AUD (~$56 USD), early bird backers get one product with an expected delivery of March 2015.

Abacus coffee pod rack aligns your pods in hanging squads

Most of us use Keurig machines or something quite similar. As a result, our cupboards are inundated with K-Cups, pods, and other products. The Abacus Pod Rack goes in the kitchen and attaches to the underside or just side of any cabinet. Coming in several colors, this rack won’t be an eyesore. It stores columns of pods/cups to make choosing the perfect beverage easier. To insert, slide up and in. To remove, just pull each cup out. It holds up to 36 pods and attaches with adhesive strips. One of these Aussie products will cost $19 AUD. Abacus hopes to raise $15,000 AUD on Kickstarter.

With the prevalence of convenient coffee machines in people’s home, this product makes sense for storage. It’s more for the beverage enthusiast who has lots of different flavors for their brewer. There are lots of other storage options out there, however, like the DecoBros organizer that keeps K-Cups in a mini drawer. Nonetheless, Abacus comes with the perk of keeping your counters clear by adhering to cabinets. While this may be more for the finicky of heart, it’s a great storage solution for those little pods that fuel America.
